2009 Lexus IS Facelift Priced Cheaper than Previous Model (U.K.)
British fans of the Lexus brand have reason to celebrate as the company has announced the facelifted 2009 Lexus IS Facelift will cost up to £1,057 less than the last year’s version.
When the new model goes on sale November 15 it will feature reduced emissions on the diesel model, standard Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management and a new SE, SE-I and SE-L grade structure. The entry level SE features Cellensia suede-effect upholstery while the SE-I model mirrors the current SE trim but adds front and rear parking sensors.
Available on both the SE and SE-I is a new satellite navigation package which costs £1,825 and includes a European satellite navigation system, 7″ display, Bluetooth, 13-speaker audio system with six-CD changer, and a rear parking monitor. The SE-L offers a multimedia package for £2,710 which includes everything from the satellite navigation packages as well as a 14-speaker Mark Levinson audio system with 5.1 surround sound and six-DVD changer.
The facelifted version features a new front bumper with a revised grille and new door mirrors with integrated indicator lamps. In the rear, the IS has updated rear lamp clusters and freshened bumper. There are also two new exterior color choices and redesigned 17 and 18-inch wheels. Interior changes are relativity minor but include updated switchgear and upholstery, while the SE-L model features revised wood trim colors.
The new base IS 220d SE starts at £22,490 while the top-level IS 250 SE-L begins at £28,850. A full pricing breakdown can be seen in the press release.
